Job Summary

The incumbent shall be responsible for sourcing for materials as per user requirements. Majority of the purchased materials shall be for Company EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) purchases, with lesser portion for Lab Chemicals or supporting items for our manufacturing operations.  
Incumbent shall short list new Suppliers, recommend purchases according to Company Policies and Code of Ethics

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the specifications and requirements are sufficiently detailed and complete for competitive quotes.
• Reviews and evaluates vendors’ quotations to ensure that the quoted items comply with the technical and commercial specifications of the Company requirements.
• Request for Quotation including issuing Tender Document
• Cost negotiation with Suppliers to achieve the best costs possible for the Company
• Manage purchasing cycle including request for quotation, PO creation, PO follow up, goods/services receipt status and supplier billing
• Update internal databases with order details (pricing, quality and reliability)
• Invoice matching

 Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical) preferred or Science (Physics)
• Minimum 3 years working experience in Manufacturing industry, preferably Petrochemical/Chemical Industry
• Engineer with on ground working experience in Petrochemical Industry and without purchasing qualification/experience but flair for negotiation will be considered
• High level organizational and record-keeping skills
• Hardworking and Good Team Player
• Ethical and Discipline
