Overview:
You will be responsible for the planning, coordinating and managing of materials supply to meet on-time delivery and inventory target. Supervise the day-to-day activities of a team of professionals who purchase goods, materials, supplies, and services that meet the organization’s standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.
Responsibilities:
- Drive and manage demand cycles to ensure assurance of supply (AOS) to production and meet on-time delivery (OTD) target.
- Work closely with vendors and vendor owners on material availability; drive vendors to have optimum inventory level to meet sales revenue.
- Work with vendors to meet on-time delivery (OTD) performance target.
- Analyze, drive and implement initiatives to meet weekly key performance indexes (KPI). This includes monthly inventory and inventory turns targets, inventory management at Gemba (IMAG).
- Embrace, drive and practice Kanban diligently.
- Manages Product Phase-in and Phase-out (PIPO) to meet project timeline with minimal excess and obsolesces (E&O) liability.
- Works with team and stake holders on receiving issues (i.e. shipping documents, and/or supplier-related discrepancies).
- Ensures PO activities are done and followed through; placement of PO, pushing out of PO quantities and delivery expediting with vendors.
- Drives and manages daily Gemba activities. Support and drive improvement in Kaizen events.
- Constantly review purchasing processes and implement changes to establish effective workflow.
- Supervises and provide guidance to team.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration or other related discipline.
- 10-12 years of supply chain or operational experience in manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on knowledge with MM module of SAP/R3 preferable
- Proficient in MS Office applications, especially MS Excel & Power point.
- Experience with High-mix/ Low-Volume environment.
