Our client is a reputable name in the Shipping Industry. Currently, they are seeking a well qualified candidate to join them as "Senior Manager (Port Operations/Cost Efficiency)".

In this role, you will be contributing in the following areas :

• Maximize berth’s utilization rate & work with partners in driving cost of operations down.
• Ensure optimal berthing lineup for incoming vessels and proactively monitors vessel ETA and BTR progress
• Drive terminal velocity initiative together with relevant parties
• Work with internal & external teams for faster connections & prioritizing the connections basis FIFO principle or priority index
• Reduce storage cost & follow up with relevant stakeholders to move long stays
• To review the financials aspects and come up with plans to improve profitability
• Identify opportunities for cost efficiency and cost control & advise on implementation
• Work with Procurement team to negotiate appropriate rates for services rendered 

Requirements:

• Degree in Maritime Studies or Business
• Minimum 5 years working experience in Shipping & Port Operations & related Maritime industries
• Good analytical skills, strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Highly adaptable, KPI driven
• Strategic Thinker
• Strong decision-analysis skills including cost/benefit analysis, investment NPV and break-even analysis
• Competent in Microsoft Office tools like Excel, word, power point & dashboarding
