Our client is a reputable Shipping MNC. Currently, they are seeking a suitably qualified candidate to join them as "Operations Asst/Executive (Liner)".

In this role, you will be responsible for the following :

• Assist and manage with all relevant aspects of Post-Fixture Operations with regards to Chartering of container ships for worldwide clients worldwide 
  Coordinate and oversee the successful delivery of fixtures agreed by the broking team; 
• Assisting the other members of the team in post-fixture operational, chartering and S&P activities, as may be required
• Collection, maintenance and analysis of market information including: vessel positions, fixture information, sale and purchase transactions 
• Preparation of weekly and monthly market reports
• Client liaison and general office duties
• Career Progression to chartering (18 months) -  developing the skills and knowledge in terms of Chartering and Sale & Purchase of Container ships

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, or similar specialization from a recognized university
• Preferably 1-2 years of experience in shipping operations
• Highly organised and able to multi-task
• Great attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Independent and result oriented
• Ability to focus on tasks and analyses situations, systems and problems
• Ability to make quick decisions supported by information and data gathered
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbal and written.
