Our client is a well established Tanker Owner cum Operator. Currently, they are seeking a well experienced candidate to join them as " Senior Accountant (Tanker MNC)”.

Responsibilities :

• Be a Lead of Accounting Team and has responsibilities covering all aspects of accounting & financial reporting.
• Collaborate closely with the accounting team to handle all accounting affairs within the group
• Review all accounting matters pertaining to these entities
• Ensure punctual and precise monthly, quarterly and yearly financial closing
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and statutory requirements
• Preparation and review of management and statutory reporting, including consolidated financial statement
• Conducts comprehensive analysis to prepare the quarterly Board Pack
• Work closely with Regional HQ team to ensure alignment with group policies
• Facilitate effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
• Undertake ad-hoc responsibilities when required

Requirements:

• Degree or professional qualification in Accountancy or equivalent
• 7 years or more working experience in accounting field is required
• Possess leadership qualities to lead a team
• Relevant working experience in shipping business would be advantageous
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, laws and any other compliance requirements
• High computer literacy, technically agile with numbers
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work and communicate with management
• Strong organisational skills, detail oriented with strong ability to meet tight reporting deadlines in a multitasking environment
• Good understanding of the related governance framework and a strong focus on good internal controls
• A self-motivated, resourceful and fast learner who is able to balance multiple priorities
