Our client is a well known Shipping Brand. Currently they are looking for a well experienced candidate to join them as " Senior Manager (Global Account Management/Global Customer Engagement)(Liner Shipping) ".

In this role, your key responsibilities will involve the following areas :

  • Responsible for managing and projecting customers’ business requirement in order to generate growth, partnership and other business opportunities. 
  • Together with your team, you are to strategize, define and implement growth in volume and revenue on a global basis 
  • Building multilevel relationship and rapport with key customers globally; going deeper, wider and higher into the customers organisation so as to develop the customer intimacy that is needed to put the organisation in a more competitive position
  • Be up to speed on knowing your customers’ strategies and develop plans/deals to align to their needs
  • Measure, track and analyze key account metrics
  • Persuade and influence regional marketing teams and business units to ensure proper management and implementation of strategies for each respective customers
  • All round understanding of the market, the global products offered by customer and competitor
  • Work closely with other Global Account Managers, Business Unit Directors, Trade Departments & Senior Management. 
  • Ensuring commercial processes are reviewed regularly and updated
  • Best practices of contract administration are shared across offices regionally

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree with at least 5 years of shipping experience, preferably from carrier side
  • Solid experience in key account management and building relationships with MNCs with global footprint. Emphasis is placed on track record in hands on experience in handling global clients
  • Possess good leadership & team management skills
  • Able to travel overseas as part of business requirements
  • Analytical and inquisitive mindset
  • Able to develop relationship independently at different levels of a customer organisation
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Goal-oriented, dynamic and results driven
  • Organized team player
  • Detailed and meticulous and strong problem solving skills
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications; and
  • Proficiency in the English language, both verbal and written
