Job Description 

• To define, build, and maintain the appropriate level of data protection and privacy practices, according to applicable laws in Singapore 
• Assess, manage and monitor compliance of regional activities to applicable data protection and privacy laws 
• Lead to update/localize existing Global Privacy Policy, standards and procedures to conform to internal best practice and local Data Privacy laws / regulations. 
• Monitor compliance with the Global Privacy Program within the Organization 
• Act as a point of contact for data subjects with regards to their requests. 
• Advise internal stakeholders on applicable obligations for each existing and new data processing operations, following a privacy by design approach, providing comprehensive and pragmatic recommendations 
• Review data processing agreements with service providers and partners 
• Establish and maintain documentation of record of processing, privacy checklist, data mapping, legitimate interest assessments and PIA (Privacy Impact Assessments); 
• Support on privacy impact assessments 
• Deliver training on privacy, data protection and policy matters 
• Lead investigations on data breaches/incidents in the region 

Job Requirements 

• The client is looking for a candidate with extensive data protection knowledge and experience in a commercial environment. 
• 3 years of dedicated working knowledge, and experience in Singapore’s data protection and privacy laws. 
• Experience data protection framework; 
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels, roles, jurisdictions and functions in the organisation; 
• The ability to analyse legislative requirements and relate these to organisational practices and solutions; 
• Ability to review and analyse processes and system flows with regard to privacy risks and controls 
• Ability to move at pace and use different improvement strategies appropriate to the scope of work; 
• Well organised and efficient, with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines;
