Job Details
This position is responsible for operational analysis in Ocean Freight. Acts as a central point of contact regarding planning (Forecast, Budget, mid-term), monthly reporting, KPI definition/tracking, setup/ tracking of operational measures and cost analysis. This role will also support the Ocean HOD and the team on all administration and administrative-related matters.

Business Controlling

  • Responsible for business controlling of all financial figures and non-financial information on a business unit level
  • Responsible for providing input to the consolidated budgets / forecast on a business unit, specifically Ocean Freight
  • Responsible for preparing a consolidated view of actual financial figures along with business insights into the actual performance on a regular basis and explain differences compared to market or budget to internal stakeholders.
  • Supports implementation of best practices in business controlling with the goal of ultimately driving cost reduction and quality enhancement


  • Responsible for providing a high level of administrative support to the Regional Head of Ocean
  • Responsible for calendar management, including organizing meetings for both internal and external parties
  • Supports the preparation of travel itineraries and all travel arrangements required
  • Daily admin support

Job Requirements

  • Strong knowledge and experience from logistics industry, especially Ocean Freight product
  • Strong understanding of business finance, finance management, business Controlling processes
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial and business management principles with the ability to communicate and prioritize business requirements
  • Experience with reporting to top management, including company boards
  • Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work and to generate alternatives and solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach toward business issues
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Must be highly skilled in MS Office
