Global Silicon Gas Sales Director

Summary
Responsible for sales of all silicon gas products, including developing and executing the product sales strategy, and serve as primary point of contact for all customers, distributors to end users.  Also responsible for delivering on the volume and revenue targets for the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recruit/select, develop, and coach geographic sales personnel to meet the needs of the organization’s sales and revenue targets
  • Plan, estimate, update and deliver on Key Performance Indicators
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust sales programs to achieve sales, revenue, and margin targets
  • Develop Regional sales focus to support global customer base to include establishment of sales/support offices and presence in strong or emerging markets such as: Taiwan, Southeast Asia, India, Euro
  • Balance competing requirements for different gases regarding sales personnel focus and deliverables
  • Develop organization capable of supporting all activities of REC Silicon within regions that representatives are responsible for including local cultural and language support for other functional areas of REC
  • Instill culture of technical sales and competence
  • Enhance flow of market and competitive intelligence back to Business Units and Business Development for collation and analysisWork with Senior VP GM and Finance to develop sales and revenue targets and product mix objectives
  • Conduct and communicate future planning requirements to support mid-term and long-term planning cycles; to include product requirements (quality/packaging/form factor/purity), volumes, prices, potential contractual and market requirements, threats, and responses
  • Evaluate competitive position and threats; position REC Silicon to best address market and competitive challenges
  • Interface with customers, internal elements, suppliers, and others within sphere of market influence
  • Schedule, coordinate start up and training of Transfills and End User Bulk Delivery Systems at customer sites and internal REC sites as well
  • Maintain database of Existing Transfills, End User Delivery System, competitive transfill capability and end user sites

Qualifications 
Incumbents must have demonstrated knowledge and abilities in these areas.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  

Education and/or Experience
•    Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in science, Engineering or Business field and five (5) to ten (10) years professional and sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
•    Background in high purity or high tech preferred (specialty electronic chemicals, PV/semiconductor manufacturing, nanotechnology, etc.)
•    Experience interfacing with science and engineering functional areas, management preferred
Computer Skills
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs to support program development/tracking and communications/presentations 
Other Skills and Abilities
•    General knowledge of science/chemistry, industrial manufacturing
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills
•    Detailed knowledge of REC Silicon products and manufacturing processes a plus
•    Self-motivated and able to work with and motivate others
•    Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
•    Task oriented; attention to detail; high work ethic
•    Timely, ability to work within deadlines and dependable to deliver
•    Ability to communicate REC Silicon value proposition externally with confidence
•    Ability to handle uncertainty and risk

Supervisory and Budgetary Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and be accountable for company sales targets for product, region, and time period
  • Supervise the silicon gas sales/support personnel overseas
