Summary

Responsible for supporting the operational efficiency of the organization's ERP System and related Business Software Applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain the company's SAP technologies investments.
  • Coordinate SAP processes for change management, application security, and enhancements.
  • Analyze and prioritize reported issues, collaborating with SAP support teams for resolutions.
  • Engage with Business Process Owners to gather and prioritize business needs and define supporting processes.
  • Explain the interactions between processes, systems, and users.
  • Conduct training sessions on SAP component interactions and technical solutions for improved productivity.
  • Develop functional design documents for reports, interfaces, etc.
  • Devise plans to enhance user understanding of the system, identify potential issues, and recommend solutions.
  • Offer guidance on system options and their business implications during functional changes.
  • Maintain system documentation and review technical designs and unit test results.
  • Assist in creating and updating training materials for Business Process Owners.
  • Research new SAP functionalities and collaborate on evaluating and implementing them.
  • Actively participate in IT and project team meetings across primary and remote sites.
  • Provide project status reports to management, customers, and team members.
  • Provide support for legacy ERP systems, such as Prism, as directed.

Qualifications

Incumbents must have demonstrated knowledge and abilities in these areas. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  

Education and/or Experience

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with business process analysis methods, flowcharting, and documentation techniques, along with adherence to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Additional experience in Data Warehouse is highly beneficial.

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Functional expertise in two or more of the following SAP modules: Materials Management, Plant Maintenance, Finance/Controlling, Sales & Distribution, Human Resources, Quality Management, Project Systems, and Workflow.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ECC 6.0 or newer versions.
  • Basic technical proficiency in SAP development tools, interfaces, and protocols.
  • Experience with SAP configuration methods, tools, and techniques.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Strong communication skills essential for effective interaction with support organization members, Business Process Owners, super users, and end-users.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results, supported by strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a prerequisite.

  • Must have a sense of sound, smell, and touch.
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including standard issued PPE and respiratory devices.
