 Salary Range 

$76,200 - $206,600 / per year

Engineer I - $76,200 - $118,100 / per year

Engineer II - $87,600 - $135,800 / per year

Engineer III - $100,800 - $156,200 / per year

Engineer IV - $115,900 - $179,600 / per year

Engineer V - $133,300 - $206,600 / per year

The Maintenance Engineer position is considered safety sensitive work and if a job offer is accepted the applicant will be required to complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing which will include cannabis testing.

Summary

This role is responsible for designing and implementing systems to enhance the efficiency of maintenance and repair services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support for analyzing and resolving mechanical issues.
  • Resolve technical issues and manage information flow throughout design, procurement, and construction phases.
  • Incorporate and utilize technical and industrial standards to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient designs.
  • Prepare design specifications and detailed design drawings for new or revised systems.
  • Participate in the selection process and coordinate with external mechanical engineering services when external sources are needed.
  • Serve as project engineer and manage mechanical projects.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other REC Silicon Mechanical Engineers to ensure consistent application of engineering best practices.
  • Develop and implement reliability programs and maintenance practices.
  • Identify and implement equipment reliability improvements.
  • Act as an interface between reliability, plant, and corporate engineering departments.

Qualifications

Incumbents must have demonstrated knowledge and abilities in these areas. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

  • Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution or other related field.
  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in maintenance or reliability engineering role
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs Word / Excel / Project / PowerPoint / etc.
  • Prior experience with SAP or ability to learn rapidly.
  • Preferred working knowledge in AutoCAD / Mathcad / Maple / AFT Fathom & Arrow / HYSYS / etc.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of maintenance best practices and external benchmarking resources
  • Proficient in root cause failure analysis methodologies
  • Working knowledge of Maintenance Planning and Scheduling tools
  • Understand and apply industry standards and practices.
  • Knowledge of company procedures, processes, and operations desirable
  • Ability to develop and implement key metrics for maintenance and repairs.
  • Ability to prevent failures, identify problems and implement corrective actions.
  • Ability to work closely with maintenance staff with a good rapport that leads to effective knowledge share.
  • Prioritize limited resources available to provide the best return to REC Silicon
  • Knowledge of reliability programs and predictive technologies.
