 Salary Range

$23.80-$33.43 / hour 

The Fluid Bed Technician  position is considered safety sensitive work and if a job offer is accepted the applicant will be required to complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing which will include cannabis testing.

Summary
Responsible for loading and unloading Fluid Bed reactors and processing and packaging of polysilicon in order to meet customer specifications in a safe and efficient manner

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains a clean reactor floor and workplace
  • Process products in accordance with customer specifications
  • Operate sieving systems
  • Transfer products in totes using fork trucks
  • Ability to work in process and distribution areas
  • Responsible for product quality in all phases of the production process
  • Measure finished product attributes in accordance with specifications and records data in written form
  • Accurately process and track products using the MES system
  • Operate 22-ton bridge crane
  • Actively participates in REC Business Systems (RBS) activities

Qualifications 
Incumbents must have demonstrated knowledge and abilities in these areas.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  

Education and/or Experience

  • Requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent and one (1) to three (3) months work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Computer Skills

  • Basic knowledge of computers and data entry programs

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to attain and maintain the Forklift certification and Fluid Bed Technician certification within one year time frame
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and ability to compute rate, ratio, and 
    percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to work with others in a group or team
