Employee Referral Program

PURPOSE

To motivate the employees of Santa Clara Family Health Plan (“SCFHP”) to refer qualified job applicants.

SCOPE

All regular full‐ and part‐time employees except for the below employee and candidate exclusions:

Employees:

  • Employees of the Human Resources department;
  • Employees involved in the hiring decision for the specific placement;
  • Hiring supervisors, managers, and directors may not receive a referral bonus for filling a position within their department;
  • Members of the Executive Team are not eligible to receive a referral bonus.

Candidates:

  • Previous SCFHP employees;
  • Current individuals working for SCFHP as a temporary contractor or consultant or who have worked as a temporary contractor or consultant within the last 12 months;
  • Candidates under consideration from another source or on file with SCFHP as previously referred candidates.

GUIDELINES

  • An employee who refers an applicant hired into a regular full‐time or part‐time position, whose name appears on the employment application as the referring source when submitted to the Human Resources department, is eligible to receive a referral bonus of $500.
  • Referrals must be received prior to the candidate’s hire date and verified by Human Resources during the hiring process.
  • Employee referrals must be submitted via the Employee Referral Portal.
  • The employee referral portal is a custom page that can be accessed via a link that allows employees to submit referrals directly into the applicant tracking system, and the referring employee’s name is matched to the candidate.
  • The referral bonus will be paid when the individual successfully completes six months of employment.
  • Referral bonuses for part‐time positions will be prorated.
  • There may only be one referral per candidate.
